Celebrating Milk's Favorite Cookie

National Oreo Lover’s Day is Friday, March 6th.
Milk's favorite cookie, the Oreo, rightfully has it's own holiday, where we celebrate all things cookies and cream. Originating in 1912, when Nabisco combined two chocolate disks with a creme filled center, the Oreo is often noted as a copy-cat of Sunshine Biscuit's 1908 treat 'Hydrox.' Despite this origin, the Oreo cookie rose to popularity and it's original recipe has not changed much since. Nabisco has expanded the Oreo empire, though.

There have been over 100 Oreo flavors throughout the years, including the famous Double Stuf Oreo, Golden, and Birthday Cake. More adventurous limited time flavors included Jelly Donut, Cherry Cola, Root Beer Float, and Java Chip.
Here at Wright's, we love cookies and cream everything. In 2025, we purchased 2,165 pounds of Oreo pieces and crumbs! Celebrate this Oreo holiday with us all March by enjoying the following treats:
